With this contemporary music coming into the church someone has to entertain the thought of that idea. Therefore what happen to their spiritual faith and walk with Christ. When did they stop believing in the Bible?

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Rom 12:2.
Contemporary has to do with three things.
•	It has to do with selection of songs,
• instrumentation, and
•	"feel".

It is a style of music that is produced by those who desire to keep up with their secular counterpart (Mary-Mary, Straight Company, Kirk Franklin…etc. Contemporary music evolves to include such diverse and contemporary styles as rock, jazz, blues, dance, metal, rap, alternative, new age, grunge, punk, thrash, death, gothic and industrial.
Examples of various artist and their contemporary approach:
Starfield - Reign In Us
Darren Morehouse - Sanctuary
Mending Point - Fall
Richie McDonald - I Turn To You
Newsboys - Presence (My Heart's Desire)

The scripture is opposed, in principle, to the use of guitars, drums, keyboards for music in the worship of the New Testament church. It is nothing other than a conforming of our minds to our secularized age, to the artistic, psychological, and spiritual degeneracy of our times. If it feels good to you…do it. As we study Rom. 12:1,2; Gal. 2:20; Col. 2:8 and other passages we see, the point is that although our baptized bodies are the temple of the Spirit and we are to worship the Lord with heart and voice, still our worship is not at the level of body, it is not a sensual moving and being-moved, but a spiritual sacrifice and adoration served by a well-disciplined body whose passions are chastened, whose emotions are purified. The point is that although our baptized bodies are the temple of the Spirit and we are to worship the Lord with heart and voice, still our worship is not at the level of body, it is not a sensual moving and being-moved, but a spiritual sacrifice and adoration served by a well-disciplined body whose passions are chastened, whose emotions are purified. Conclusion: What we listen to does not remain “outside” of us, but it enters into us and changes our way of feeling, reacting, perceiving. That means we cannot help being affected morally by long-term exposure to certain kinds of music.
