The scripture is opposed, in principle, to the use of guitars, drums, keyboards for music in the worship of the New Testament church. It is nothing other than a conforming of our minds to our secularized age, to the artistic, psychological, and spiritual degeneracy of our times. If it feels good to you…do it. As we study Rom. 12:1,2; Gal. 2:20; Col. 2:8 and other passages we see, the point is that although our baptized bodies are the temple of the Spirit and we are to worship the Lord with heart and voice, still our worship is not at the level of body, it is not a sensual moving and being-moved, but a spiritual sacrifice and adoration served by a well-disciplined body whose passions are chastened, whose emotions are purified.
